Breakfast Time

The breakfast restaurant is a five minute walk from the resort hotel.  Is not located in the hotel where we are staying.  The breakfast restaurant services 2 hotels and several onsite villas.  Anticipate that it will be extremely busy.

According to the reviews, the breakfast restaurant opens between 6:30 am or  7 am and by 7:30 am, the restaurant is full.  This means that trying to find somewhere to sit will be a challenge.   Anecdotal information suggests that the restaurant will run out of utensils and cutlery as well as food.

Hopefully we will have time to eat a decent breakfast before leaving in the morning.

Distance from the Beijing airport

The resort hotel is approximately 1 hour from the Beijing airport.   Hotel reviews indicate that the roads leading to the hotel are quite congested.    Our flight arrives in Beijing at approx 4 PM local time, assuming it arrives on time.   If we assume that it takes about 1 to 2 hours to clear baggage, customs, meet tour guide, head to tour bus, etc.  we won't leave the airport until approx 6 PM.   If the traffic is bad, we can assume that we reach the hotel between 7 PM and 7:30 PM.  Assume another 1 hour to check-in and find our rooms.  Worst case scenario is we get settled at approx 8:30 PM.   Best case would be approx 7:30 PM.

What Time Does Dinner Stop?

There is a buffet restaurant on-site but it is only open until 9 PM, according to what has been posted to Tripadvisor.   There is a good chance that we will have nothing to eat by the time we have all checked into our rooms.   Please also be aware that this resort hotel is not close to anything else, so even taking a taxi or public transit somewhere to eat is probably not an option.

If one is able to make it to the buffet restaurant in time, the cost per person to eat there is $25 (answered by a Canadian).
